The decision to open a second office and warehouse space in Murray is about accessibility. To be physically present in the community where our students reside means greater access to our programs, be it lessons, rental equipment or a team of instructors eager to teach and share their passion for the outdoors. WAS’s new location also addresses one of the main obstacles to physical activity: transportation. Easily accessed by two forms of public transportation (TRAX and bus) and with the 40-mile paved Jordan River Parkway Trail just down the road, students from Provo to Ogden can now connect with WAS like never before. By making our programs more accessible, WAS is one step closer to realizing our vision for the community: one where the resources to be active and independent in recreation are readily available to anyone with adaptive needs.
